Knowing how you are and what you want to convey with your invitations, is the first step of the creation process.
From this point, the first ideas and the gestation phase of the same begin to be generated.
Inspired by the "toile de jouy", a cotton fabric printed with monochromatic patterns, representing quiet and evocative country scenes, we began to make different hand-drawn sketches of what would be one of the main scenes of the wedding, the place of the ceremony.
Deciding the support on which the invitations will be made, as well as the chromatic range and the rest of the materials that will be used in the design is fundamental.
Following the classic and elegant line of the "Toile de Jouy", we chose a 300 grs. laid paper of high quality acid-free, a chromatic range of blues, combining prussia and ultramarine blue, and watercolor as a technique.
Once the illustrations are defined, they will be made in detail and the watercolor work will begin.
Once the watercolor illustrations are done, they are digitized and laid out, creating all the elements that make up the invitation.
In this project, to continue with the traditional line marked by the "Toile de Jouy", all the texts are handwritten with exquisite precision in ink and nib and with a decorated English cursive style typography.

We work with high quality materials, such as handmade papers, fabrics, wood... we shape them according to your indications and our experience to create the letter of introduction of your wedding ring. We follow some guidelines in the creation process:
Analysis and Idea: We talk to you, we need to know how you are, what you want to convey with your invitations. From here we start to generate different ideas that fit with your request.
Sketching: Inspired by the "toile de jouy", a cotton fabric printed with monochromatic designs, we began to make different hand-drawn sketches of what would be one of the main scenes of the wedding, the place of the ceremony.
Materials and Shades: At this point we decide the support in which the invitations will be made and all the materials that will be needed in the process. It is also the moment to choose the chromatic range.
Watercolor and Calligraphy: Once the illustrations, chromatic range and materials have been decided, the watercolor work begins. When we have done the watercolor illustrations is the time to digitize and layout.
In Marmarina, to continue with the classic line of "Toile de Jouy", all texts are handwritten with millimetric precision in ink and nib. The typography used is in the decorated English Italic style.
