1. What is it?
The seating protocol, better known by its English name, seating plan, is a table plan used to assign each guest their correct seat at the reception. As in every area of life, organisation is key, and your wedding is certainly no exception. Don't leave it until the last minute!
2. Where to start?
Although it's one of the loveliest elements of a wedding, the road to your final seating plan can give you a bit of a headache, because at the end of the day it's all about organising the wedding tables. From experience, we can tell you it's one of the tasks couples find hardest, so the sooner you start managing it, the better. 
Once your guests start confirming their attendance after receiving their beautiful wedding invitation, we recommend sketching out a rough plan of the tables. Once you've got a fairly clear idea, arrange guests bearing in mind family ties, friendship groups and so on...but without stressing yourself out, above all know that you won't be able to please absolutely everyone. Otherwise, you'll turn your wedding into a tedious process, when it should be one filled purely with excitement.
Once you've got all your guests organised by table, we recommend listing the names in alphabetical order, especially if you have a lot of guests.
